The Idea of Biosphere Reserve Bank

The idea of the Biosphere Reserve Bank as an International Bank for Restoration, Regeneration & Reintegration with an Earth first mission was first proposed to Hon. Naseer Ahamed, Minister of Environment of Sri Lanka by the Founder & CEO of 1 Earth Holdings Inc. in a letter dated 19 February, 2023. The President of Sri Lanka H.E. Ranil Wickremsinghe embraced and approved the idea instantly after reading the letter.  Over the next 6 months, the idea was developed into a viable MDB for climate finance for the Global South by Saiful Amin Bhuiyan who served as Honorary Adviser to the Minister of Environment of Sri Lanka. The idea was strongly supported by Dr. Sultan Al-Jaber, President of COP28 (Dubai), Special Envoy for Climate Change  & Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of UAE, during his blateral meeting with Hon. Naseer Ahamed on the sidelines of The World Sustainable Development Summit 2023 in New Delhi in February 2023.
