Prof. Dr. Hj. Siti Nur Azizah has gracefully expressed and pledged her support for Jakarta as the headquarters for the proposed Biosphere Reserve Bank for the Global South. 

The Founder and CEO of 1 Earth Holdings Inc. expresses profound gratitude to Prof. Siti Azizah for her support for and solidarity with the mission of the Biosphere Reserve Bank. 

Her vote of confidence represents a significant milestone for this initiative and the ongoing campaign for Jakarta as the global headquarters for the proposed Biosphere Reserve Bank. Indonesia is a marine and terrestrial ecological superpower. With Nine of the top 10 mega-cities in Asia, Jakarta now ranks as the largest city in the world with a population of 42 million.  By welcoming Dr. Siti Nur Azizah as the Chief Mission and Impact Adviser of 1 Earth Holdings Inc. for Indonesia, our goal of establishing Jakarta as the global hub for climate and nature finance is well within reach. 

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Dato Zaaba Bin Che Mat, Chief Adviser and Representative for ASEAN, for his dedicated advocacy in Indonesia. His efforts have been instrumental in fostering positive engagement with key stakeholders and influencers regarding this momentous climate initiative. 

As a brief background, the Biosphere Reserve Bank for the Global South is an initiative of 1 Earth Holdings Inc. On 5 October 2023, at the 5th Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific,  held in Colombo, under the auspices of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP -5),  a proposal from the Minister of Environment of Sri Lanka for establishing a new multilateral development bank for climate finance for the Global South by the name of Biosphere Reserve Bank was received and endorsed with a huge show of sense of urgency by the environment leaders of all Asia Pacific member states of the UN.
